Hi all and welcome to Rd2 News Blog.
First of all, you will all be happy to know that everyone has registered and we can now pass on our fixture matrix to Sporting Pulse to generate fixtures, results and ladder. A new system will be introduced next season to make sure this does not happen again, thank you all for your patience.
Fixtures/Results/Ladders should be up before play on Monday, but definitly before Rd 4.
Rd 3 is available in PDF format on the App and Website.
BASIL RESERVE LIGHTS
Through trial and error, only 2 matches will be played at the 8.45pm time slot. Feed back suggested the lighting on fields 1 and 4 were insufficient, so the remaining 2 games are to be played on fields 2 and 3.
UMPIRES
We have fielded a couple of complaints about the umpires. Remember without them we don't have a game and they will make mistakes. We are rotating teams through different fields so if you don't like the way a specific umpire adjudicates the game, chances are you won't have him the next week. Unhelpful comments will not make them umpire any better, so please keep them to yourself.
ANZAC DAY CARNIVAL- (Be a part of the 100 years remeberance not just a spectator .)
At this stage the winter comp will be replaced by the ANZAC day carnival. Capped at 20 teams only, registrations will be Open Next Week, so please register early to avoid disappointment.
The Format is pool play with finals. There is $1000 and the RSL Cup up for grabs to the winning team.
