R40s AFL9s explained

AFL9s is the AFLs version of touch football, with modified rules to provide all the fun of AFL without the contact. It is played on a 100m x 50m field that is divided up into three zones, forward, midfield and back with 3 players per zone. Played with a lighter AFL football, that reduces kicking distances and increase ball handling skills, AFL9s is is truly the game for everyone.

Basics Rules include;
- No Contact allowed
- Ball cannot hit ground
- 3 players in each zone (forward, Mid field and Back)
- Only the 3 forwards can score

 Roaring 40s competitions use to be Just focused on creating a social outlet for men over 35. Now with the introduction of Mixed competitions it gives both men and women the oppertunity to play together and enjoy this exciting game.  
Other than providing the biggest AFL9s  competitions in Australia, we are at the forefront of competition saftey and were the 1st to introduce the use of tags as opposed to touch, thus reducing contact even further. Roaring 40s don't just provide a competition we bring social footy to a new level by providing family days for our teams and other social events to create an atmosphere that we are very proud of.
